Julian brings a strong background in electrical engineering (Ph.D) and more than 10 years of experience running an IP firm in Mexico prior to his role as a technical advisor at Palmer IP.

Julian is a problem solver at heart. He started his academic career in electrical engineering and then focused on research in medical robotics and image analysis, later transitioning to intellectual property in 2009. Born in Mexico to a Canadian mother, he has lived for extended periods in both countries, with which he maintains close ties.

From 2009 to 2021, he was adjunct professor at the ITESM (Cuernavaca), responsible for various computer science and project management courses. In his capacity as professor, his projects have been selected for technical innovation in education and has been continuously recognized by students and peers as an outstanding teacher.

Julian currently remains focused on intellectual property, and leverages his varied experience as a researcher, teacher, and IP agent to find creative solutions to our client’s IP needs.
